Hey all,
Today is officially Santa Muerte’s Feast Day! We give her our thanks and share our love for her today more than any other day!
I have a few cute but simple ideas for Santisima’s feast day you can offer her or make her if you’re on crunch time or have little to give.
Foods:
Apples- Cut the apple, add honey and cinnamon on a plate or offer it whole.
Cupcakes or muffins- Easy & quick to make.
Bread- Again, offer with honey & cinnamon.
Whatever YOU are having for dinner- I will be making white rice with corned beef (my favorite Puerto Rican dish) and offering it to her with tortillas, cheese, and salsa verde with sour cream. I have a designated caldero aka iron pot for JUST her I serve her whole meals in.
Chocolates or candies- Any are fine.
Soda- A can of Coke goes a long way.
I usually remove food up to 24 hours after it being on the altar.
If you find yourself not being able to offer her foods, always know you can give her:
Money, even petty cash.
Incense
Pray the rosary
Designated candle or tea light for her.
Nonetheless, make it about her. She does do much for her devotees! It’s the least we can do.
