"I Am Diosa" Prompt 3: Soulwork

  1. What are the traps that most prevalent in your life?

    • Comfort, Counterfeit Gold, “What If” and thinking that I am “Too Much” with a touch of self-doubt.

  2. How has ignoring the soul traps caused harm in your life?

    • It consistently causes harm in my life. It creates issues with people I never intentionally want to create issues with like my husband or with my parents and in-laws. With the exception of the counterfeit gold, every other trap is just easy to fall into because I’m easily triggered and gaslit. I’m a fiery personality, but because I’ve been demolished by the people closest to me growing up, it was also easy to fall for the “likeness” and “shininess” of one’s personality which ended up being shit, hence the counterfeit gold.

  3. What is the feeling in your body when you are ignoring a soul trap?

    • It’s enticing. The feeling in my body comes off as if it’s ready to fight or it becomes tense and it itches to fall into said trap. It’s unusual for me now that I am acknowledging that it does possibly come from a time where acceptance and tolerance were things I craved.

  4. What is the animal you want to embody to become aware when the traps are there?

    • I would like to become a shark when the traps are there. I would like to smell the blood before I reach it so I can very much not swim directly to it before thoroughly investigating if its food or if it’s poison.

  5. What do you want to discover on the other side of ignoring the soul traps?

    • I hope to discover the warning signs early and establish a boundary with myself to navigate them correctly and efficiently instead of diving into them thinking I will come out safe on the other side.
